What is Smoke n' Suds?
Did you know that the top six largest California wildfires in the past 89 years, have all happened since 2018? Wildfires are becoming bigger and stronger than ever before.
Indigenous people have been using fire to manage the forests for milenia. However, issues like fire suppression and climate change have promoted megafires, a now increasingly common term on the West Coast.
In high temperatures and steep terrain, wildland firefighters dig lines around raging fires, for up to 16 hours a day. They help save land and protect our communities.
WeHero will educate employees about the important role of fire on our planet and how wildland firefighters are battling the blaze.
After hearing about the challenges of working on a wildfire, on their own employees will handcraft bars of soap and send them to the firefighters, along with words of gratitude. The soap is made with activated charcoal to clear toxins and chemicals off the surface of their skin.
Join us for this experience as we make soap, learn about wildfires, and connect over a fun activity. Let’s thank the wildland firefighters for their amazing work!
