What is Write Away Loneliness?
Isolation is more than feeling alone - it’s a growing public health issue. Seniors or individuals facing mental health challenges are especially vulnerable, often going extended periods without meaningful social contact. This lack of connection can contribute to poor mental outcomes, yet it frequently goes unseen and unspoken.
Volunteers step away from their inbox to write heartfelt letters of encouragement and connection. Participants receive everything they need, including stationery, stamps, and keynote to learn the challenges elderly face and the powerful impact of fostering connection.
