Rosa Parks Day is celebrated in the U.S. to honor Rosa Parks, the brave civil rights activist. Her contributions have been most impactful to the movement, but her most famous incident is her refusal to give up her seat on a bus she was commuting on. Her headstrong persona is an inspiration to all, and the day promotes civil rights, and equal rights and opportunities for all communities across the country.
