Join the global movement to help all children get access to a quality education, no matter their political status.
We develop and build custom simulations so individuals around the world can experience the life of those that are struggling. This experience will take 15-30 minutes. You’ll have to make a series of decisions based on the reality of the situation. Our aim is to educate, motivate and activate people behind different causes. When we put understanding at the center of our experience, we are able to make long term, sustainable change.
The Sidewalk School for Asylum Seekers was founded in response to the need for educational opportunities for those facing displacement in the Matamoros Tent City, a refugee camp that formed in the US and Mexico border as a result of immigration policy changes.
Since 2019, the Sidewalk School has provided schooling to over 800 students and currently employs 12 teachers and 6 teacher’s aides who were similarly facing displacement in Border Cities.
The Sidewalk School provides free and nutritious lunches to all of the students in each class, and the school frequently provides necessary aid, to those in need. All in all, the School provides gainful employment to those facing displacement, while providing education opportunities and assistance to those who would otherwise go without.
This simulation is a highly personal experience, and the information may hit home for many of you here today. These are true stories based on the thousands of anecdotes and statistics around girls around the world. We build engagement through these simulations to make the experience more powerful, and while this is a simulation, we don’t consider this experience a game. We design these events with the guidance of organizations with expertise in the relevant area, and we are always learning.
