Vol. 26 // SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER

Hello, WeHero community! Apologies that our newsletter is coming out a bit later this month. We know many of you are coming back from some vacation and want you to have the opportunity to unpack that inbox.

It's September and we continue to plan some of the biggest volunteering days of the year. In this newsletter, we share about the social impact days you should be keeping an eye on, the WeHero 100, WeHero becoming a B Corp, and more!

Let's dive in

1 // September Forecast - Planning For End Of Year Volunteering and Employee Engagement Starts Now

We talk a lot with our partners and clients about rolling boulders downhill, not up. When it comes to employee engagement and corporate volunteering, that means planning volunteer experiences during times of the year when employees already want to volunteer. This results in increased participation, increased engagement, and more IMPACT!

Social impact days to have on your radar

Simple Green and Orange Paint India Independence Day

After the Second World War, The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted, which represents the first global expression of rights to which all human beings are inherently entitled. It is an acknowledgment that we should remember and understand the value of each human being, regardless of their nationality, color, race, sex, gender, country of origin, language, or otherwise.

Veterans Day is a federal holiday in the United States observed annually on November 11, honoring military veterans of the United States Armed Forces. It coincides with other holidays including Armistice Day and Remembrance Day celebrated in other countries that mark the anniversary of the end of World War I.

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
