Stories Worth Sharing

Full Futures

The Full Futures program was launched in 2021 by Campbell Soup Company alongside public, private and nonprofit partners with the goal of fostering a school nutrition environment that ensures all students are well nourished and ready to thrive at school and life.

The strategy is based on 4 pillars:

School Nutrition Mindset: creating a culture that prioritizes nutritious food for students by updating the district's policy, expanding access to meals beyond lunch and including nutrition concepts into the core curriculum.

Food Service Infrastructure: enhancing school food service infrastructure through new equipment, resources and training.

Nutrition Education: Expanding the impact of nutrition by providing lessons on how to grow their own food and teaching culinary classes to families and caregivers.

Procurement and Menu Change: procuring locally-sourced, nutritious ingredients and supporting menu changes centered around students preferences.

During the first year, 7,553 students were impacted by the initiative in the Camden City School District. $93k were reinvested into the local economy, supporting local farmers.
