What is the Packs for Inspiration event?

About the cause: A total of 552,830 people were experiencing homelessness on a single night in 2019. Homelessness is a situation, not a person. We’re here to inspire these folks to stay strong and fight through their journey to a stable life.

What we’ll do: WeHero works with companies to create healthy meal and hygiene packages to be delivered to the homeless. These packages are accompanied with cards to give employees the option to write notes of encouragement to the recipient of their package. This is so special to the recipients that we now include Polaroid cameras with the event so recipients can see an image of the person behind their pack of inspiration. WeHero provides education in regards to the homeless population in major cities throughout the US and what is being done to alleviate the problem. The program is focused on supporting the local community where the event is taking place.

How Many Employees?

Select how many employees you would like to have participate in the Packs of Inspiration event.

We Box It Up

Working with our non-profit partners we source all the necessary materials and activities, add easy to follow instructions, box it up, and ship it to you.

Have Your Event

We provide instructions, a video, and a pre-event call just to make sure you’re ready to go. Don’t worry, it’s easy and our team is always available for support.

Send It Back

We provide pre-paid shipping labels and boxes to make shipping everything back easy. Once the event is over, we send thank you letters and photos to each of your team members.

What does your DIY event come with?

  • Dedicated Event Coordinator
    After booking your event, you are assigned a WeHero event coordinator to support you with all items related to your event. We’re here to make sure your event is perfect!
  • Video and Instructions
    We provide a video presentation to share with your team as well as detailed instructions to have the perfect event!
  • Food and Hygiene Supplies
    Each event contains supplies needed for homelesss individuals and families identified by the local shelters. These supplies are very specific, and are sourced in relation to what the shelters need in your community. Organic granola bars, bamboo toothbrushes, hand sanitizer and much more are all packed into the kits!
  • Letters
    Use the WeHero notepaper to write the recipient of your kit a short letter. Encourage them to stay strong through this difficult time. It means a lot to them that someone out there is thinking of them.
  • Polaroid Camera
    Often times the recipients of the kits are moved that someone thought of them, and gave them a very special kit of encouragement. “It made me feel human”. Because this is so special to them, we send a Polaroid camera to take pictures to share of your team as they put the kits together.

  • Pre-paid Shipping Labels
    Shipping is easy! Attach the pre-paid shipping labels and UPS will pick your package up the day after your event.
  • Sign-in Form
    There’s more to this experience than meets the eye. We’ve provided a form for employees to leave their name and email so we can send you thank you email with details on the impact you created!

Packs of Inspiration

WeHero DIY orders need to be made a minimum of 10 business days before the event date. This event will last for 60 – 90 minutes. If you’d like to have a longer event, have more than 50 participants, or need rush shipping, get in touch with us here.

Am I able to call or email WeHero leading up to the event?

Yes! Our team is here and available to make sure your event is awesome. You’ll find we touch base regularly to make sure all goes smoothly.

Can a WeHero DIY event work for a large group of employees?

Absolutely. These events can scale with the size of your group. You can purchase the event for up to 50 employees directly on our website. If you have more than that, we can still accommodate your event with ease. Please reach out to companies@wehero.co

How do I go about getting budget for something like this?

Do I need to handle any of the shipping and is it an extra cost?

There is no additional charge for shipping. WeHero handles all of the shipping including having UPS pick up the completed kits from your office when your event is complete.
