The Rise of Hybrid Events
Hybrid events are not a new concept. The blend of in-person activities and remote participation through a digital component has been a common format over the last 10 years. We believe hybrid events are the future, especially in a post-COVID-19 world as companies look to execute corporate volunteer experiences for both their in-office and remote staff. As we plan for the future, we’re preparing now to ensure we can support companies with any format they choose for their volunteer experience: 100% at home, in-person, and yes… Hybrid.
How WeHero will Support Hybrid Volunteer Events?
Home – WeHero ships the volunteer experience to every employee’s doorstep. This has been very popular during the pandemic and allows the employee to participate in hands-on impact and join their team virtually with a live event.
In-Office – WeHero ships the volunteer experience to your office with everything you need to make an impact! WeHero then joins for a virtual live event providing a keynote and instructions around the event.
Hosted at the Venue of Your Choice – Having an all-hands company meeting and want to volunteer? Want to go offsite for a large volunteer experience in your local community? WeHero will come to you to host the volunteer event of your dreams!
Hybrid – Our Hybrid events are a mix of the three event formats listed above. For example, you can host a volunteer event at a concert hall in Boston while still hosting a web-conference for your remote team with all of the materials they need shipped to their home. You can host an in-office lunch event and have your remote employees participate in the same event with the same materials from home. Hybrid events allow a team to come together to make an impact regardless of location!
What will make hybrid volunteer events successful?
With all volunteer experiences, we believe success should be derived from the amount of impact made. If the hybrid format is activating more individuals around a cause to create more impact, then the hybrid format is doing its job.
Coordinating Hybrid events can be challenging logistically. Work with partners that can make your life easier so you and your team can focus on making an impact!
