What is COPE?
As a nation, many have an inaccurate view of poverty.
We believe that poverty encompasses more than a lack of financial resources and that people are made to thrive in the context of community. For this reason, we pursue opportunities that create pathways to equip organizations to bridge relationships across economic lines.

Virtual COPE provides an online experience for participants to better understand the issues people experience and learn how people make the journey out of poverty. Through empathy and understanding, participants will become advocates for change in their communities.
How it works:
- 90-minute virtual experience, integrating simulation, videos, discussions, and more
- Guided facilitation throughout, using Zoom
- Participants will make difficult decisions and work together to try and complete their tasks for one simulated week
- Small breakout rooms with opportunities to discuss and debrief
- Accommodates up to 120 participants at one time with the ability to add concurrent events
