Fighting Loneliness

July 22nd – 11:00 AM CST

EVENT DETAILS

IMPACT

We're staying in touch and delivering smiles to 200 lonely seniors

About the cause: A study conducted by researchers from UCSF found that adults 60 years and older who reported feeling lonely were at higher risk for functional decline in addition to the increased risk of death.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s more important than ever to fight loneliness with love for our elders. Nursing homes are no longer accepting visitors and many aren’t allowed to socialize with the other residents.

About the event: Raise awareness around the importance of supporting vulnerable seniors while actually doing it! We ship the entire experience to each employee home along with educational materials, writing guides, stationery, letters and stamps! The goal of the event is to write 4+ letters to vulnerable seniors around the country.
